An 18-year-0ld Sunrise Avenue resident in an argument with his mother said he’d shoot his her if he had a gun (he didn’t), then got on a plane and went to Nantucket, New Canaan police said.

The incident happened in an argument on July 25, and was reported to police at 3 p.m. the next day, although by 5 p.m. the son had gone to Westchester County Airport and took a flight to Nantucket. He had also thrown glasses at her and threatened to kill himself, police were told.
