Police arrested a 32–year-old Forest Street woman last Monday evening following a domestic violence incident at her home.
At 6:32 p.m. on Sept. 21, the woman phoned police herself to report that a cellphone battery and prescription pills had been taken from her, according to a police report.
Arriving, police found that she had struck a man there in the back of the head and his back with a hairbrush, the report said.
She was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
The man suffered minor injuries but wasn’t bleeding, according to New Canaan Police Lt. Jason Ferraro, the department’s public information officer.
She was held on $500 bond and scheduled to appear Sept. 22 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
