Disorderly Conduct Charge for New Canaan Man, 61

Police on Monday night arrested a 61-year-old New Canaan man and charged him with disorderly conduct. At about 8:48 p.m. on April 15, officers were dispatched to a Lambert Road home on a report of a domestic dispute between two occupants of the residence, police said. Following an investigation, the local man was charged with the misdemeanor offense, according to a police report. It isn’t clear what the dispute involved, whether or how the victim is related to the arrested man, whether it turned physical or how badly the victim was hurt—police withheld details, saying it was a domestic matter. Under state law, a person is guilty of disorderly conduct when, with intent to cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, engages in fighting or in violent, tumultuous or threatening behavior; or by offensive or disorderly conduct, annoys or interferes with another person, among other reasons.

New Canaan Man, 18, Arrested for Threatening

Police on Saturday arrested an 18-year-old Kimberly Place man and charged him with second-degree threatening. At about 10:59 a.m. on Nov. 5, officers received a complaint from a victim regarding harassing phone calls from the teen, according to a police report. Police charged him following an investigation, it said. It isn’t clear how what the teen said, what is his relationship with the victim, how many phone calls were made or when, or how what was said on those calls triggered the misdemeanor charge.

Main Street Man, 23, Arrested for Harassment

Police last week arrested a 23-year-old New Canaan man by warrant following a harassment complaint. It came on Sept. 20 and triggered an investigation by officers in the department, according to a police report. The investigation resulted in an arrest warrant on a second-degree harassment charge. It isn’t clear what happened, when or how the two parties are related.

Police: 44-Year-Old Man Committed Assault, Pushed Victim Out of Car at Talmadge Hill Train Station

Police on Sunday night arrested a 44-year-old Ansonia man by warrant after a domestic violence incident. At about 8:35 p.m. on July 23, officers were dispatched to Talmadge Hill Train Station on a report that a person there was walking on the train tracks crying, according to a police report. Police found no one there, but later found the individual at Radio Shack on Park Street in downtown New Canaan, the report said. Following an investigation, police learned that the victim had been assaulted by the Ansonia man and then pushed out of a car near the Talmadge Hill station, it said. Local authorities obtained an arrest warrant and police in Ansonia took him into custody, according to the report.

Police: Domestic Dispute on Millport, Drunk Woman with Glock on Brushy Ridge

Police arrested a 25-year-old Cheshire man at 5:20 a.m. Monday following a pre-dawn domestic dispute on Millport Avenue. At about 2:30 a.m., police were dispatched the street on a report of the dispute, and following an investigation, charged the man with disorderly conduct. It isn’t clear what precipitated the dispute or what the arrested man did that police charged him. Police withheld details, classifying the incident as “domestic.”

The man was held on $2,000 and scheduled to appear May 31 in state Superior Court in Norwalk. ***

A 61-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested in connection with thefts from lockers at the YMCA in February.
