The town on Wednesday received an application to build a new 5,000-square-foot home on a 2.67-acre Weed Street property where a 1960-built Colonial now stands.
The six-bedroom house planned for 463 Weed St. will include five full bathrooms, a half-bath, fireplace, 3-bay garage and unfinished basement and attic, according to the building permit application.
It will cost about $1.2 million to build, the application said.
The contractor on the project is Vitabuilt LLC and the architect is Vita Design Group, both of Westport.
The property, with its 3,548-square-foot home, last had sold seven years ago for $1,240,000, tax records show.
