A very special thank you to our street style subject for participating.

New Canaanite: What are you wearing today?

Alice: A lilac patterned dress from H&M. My sandals are Kenneth Cole, and my favorite part of today’s outfit is my mother’s necklace that she got from Sweden.

How would you describe your personal style?

Simple. I don’t like to over accessorize or go crazy with patterns and colors. I like to center my outfits around one statement piece.

How would you describe the fashion sense of other New Canaanites?

A mix of preppy, hipster, and bohemian styles. I would say that the guys in New Canaan dress preppy, just like the parents. I think that the high school and middle school girls like to explore different trends with influences from many styles.

What would be your personal style tip?

Be true to your style and don’t be afraid to take risks. Even though I like to keep it simple, everyone should explore their personal style.

Thank you Alice!
