New Norwalk Road Man, 45, Arrested After Trying To Break Down Bedroom Door

Police arrested a 45-year-old New Norwalk Road man before dawn Sunday after reports that he tried to break down a bedroom door following an argument with a woman there.

At about 12:37 a.m., officers dispatched to the home also learned through their investigation that the man had grabbed the woman’s arm and pushed her to the floor, according to a police report.

He was charged with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief. Police described the incident as a domestic matter.

The man was released on $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear Monday in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
