Police on Saturday night arrested a 29-year-old New Canaan man following a domestic incident.
At about 7:01 p.m. on Dec. 29, officers took a complaint in the lobby of police headquarters regarding an incident that had occurred earlier in the day at a Heritage Hill Road home.
Following an investigation, police arrested the man and charged him with assault of an elderly, blind, disabled or pregnant person or a person with intellectual disability, disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.
It isn’t clear what injuries the victim sustained, whether he or she is related to the arrested man or how, in what way he interfered with an emergency call or what prompted police to bring the misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge. No further information was immediately available.
Police released the ma after he promised to appear Dec. 31 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
