A new 7,400-square-foot home is planned for a 1.4-acre Marshall Ridge Road lot on which a 1929 Cape about half that size had stood, according to a building permit issued June 5.
The new home, to be built at 117 Marshall Ridge Road for about $900,000, will include six bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half-baths, the permit said.
It’s designed by Robert Storm Architects and will be built by Bluewater Homebuilders LLC, both of Westport, according to the permit.
The lot sold two years ago for $1.5 million, tax records show.
A demolition permit also was issued June 5 for the prior residence on the property.

An application has come into the town to build two townhouses on a .3-acre Park Street lot where a single 2-bedroom house now stands.
Filed June 10, the application for 309 Park St. calls for a 2,134-square-foot unit that includes three bedrooms, playroom and breakfast room, and a 2,310-square-foot unit that includes three bedrooms, a great room, study, home office and elevator.
The Planning & Zoning Commission last month granted a special permit to the applicant to pursue the project.
Each unit will cost about $450,000 to build, according to the building permit application. They were designed by John Kaeser and will be built by Weston’s Kaeser Development LLC.
