Police are searching for two white men suspected of stealing a $328 watch from a high-end men’s clothing and apparel shop on upper Elm Street.
It happened at Jack Spade around 5 p.m. last Wednesday, according to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc, the department’s public information officer.
Both men—in their late-20s or early-30s, one tall and bald, the other short and with a full beard—entered the store and one of them asked to look at a watch that was in a glass case, according to a police report. It isn’t clear what the second man was doing, but by the time they left, a watch in the case—a Jack Spade-brand and with a white face and brown leather band, valued at $328—had gone missing from the case, police said.
The taller man was described as bald and wearing a navy-colored toggle coat, 1920s “newsboy”-style hat and burgundy-colored pants, the report said. The shorter man had glasses and blue eyes, the report said.
Police are investigating.
