Police on Friday morning arrested a 32-year-old Mamaroneck, N.Y. man by warrant in connection with a single-car crash in New Canaan last month.
At about 12:42 a.m. on Feb. 10, a Saturday, officers were dispatched to Oenoke Ridge Road near St. Mark’s on a report of the crash, with unknown injuries, police said.
Arriving, they saw a vehicle resting in the northbound lane of Oenoke Ridge though it was facing southbound, according to a police report.
Following an investigation, police determined that the driver had struck a rock wall while traveling southbound, then continued back into the roadway, crossing the double-yellow line, it said.
The man was transported to Norwalk Hospital or evaluation of any injuries, police said.
Ultimately, he was charged with reckless driving, a misdemeanor offense.
The man turned himself in to New Canaan police at 10:15 a.m. on March 9. He was released on $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear March 22 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
