Police on Wednesday arrested a 35-year-old Stamford man and charged him with driving under the influence.
At about 9:25 pm. on April 20, an officer spotted a motor vehicle cross the double-yellow line while traveling west on Jelliff Mill Road, according to a police report.
Approaching the car during a subsequent stop, the officer smelled the odor of alcohol on the driver while speaking to him, the report said.
The driver failed field sobriety tests and later tested above the legal blood-alcohol limit during a breath test, it said.
He was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear April 29 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
