Police: Domestic Dispute on Millport, Drunk Woman with Glock on Brushy Ridge

Police arrested a 25-year-old Cheshire man at 5:20 a.m. Monday following a pre-dawn domestic dispute on Millport Avenue.

At about 2:30 a.m., police were dispatched the street on a report of the dispute, and following an investigation, charged the man with disorderly conduct.

It isn’t clear what precipitated the dispute or what the arrested man did that police charged him. Police withheld details, classifying the incident as “domestic.”

The man was held on $2,000 and scheduled to appear May 31 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.

A 61-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested in connection with thefts from lockers at the YMCA in February.

At about 11:54 a.m. on May 26, police traveled to Norwalk to serve the man on a warrant with two counts of sixth-degree larceny.

Already in the custody of officials at state Superior Court in Norwalk at the time the warrant was served, the man remained so afterwards, according to a police report.

Police at 10:30 a.m. on May 26 arrested a 29-year-old Hartford man after he failed to appear in court on charges stemming from multiple car and house burglaries last year.

He was charged with first- and second-degree failure to appear. Police held him on $100,000 bond and scheduled him to appear May 27 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.

A 51-year-old Stamford woman faces a slew of charges after police last week arrested her following a report of an unwanted female at a Brushy Ridge Road private residence.

At about 11:59 p.m. on May 25, police found the woman and determined that she had driven her car into a parked vehicle at the residence, according to a police report.

Police also found that a window in the garage door was broken, the report said.

Officers found a Glock handgun in the woman’s waistband, it said.

Police charged the woman with simple trespass, second-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, driving under the influence and carrying a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

She was held on $5,250 and scheduled to appear May 26 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.

Police at 6:30 p.m. on May 24 arrested a 19-year-old Bridgeport man on a second-degree failure to appear charge stemming from a July 22 incident where he was cited for a motor vehicle infraction. The teen was released on $500 bond and scheduled to appear June 3 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.

    Elements that easily add up for another tragedy. Its exactly this kind of cavalier attitude towards gun safety and troubled adults, that cause tragedies. The elements are all there, they’ve been repeated numerous times all around the country – – we’re just lucky she didn’t have a gripe with a teacher, children, or local authorities…What came out of her appearance May 26th? Back in society, I suppose, claiming breach of her gun carrying rights?
