Police on Saturday brought additional burglary charges against a Shelton pair accused of stealing items from New Canaan homes in August.

Daniel Perez, 34, and Alessandra Sillo, 33, both of 185 Coram Ave. in Shelton, each were charged by warrant with two counts of first-degree larceny, two counts of fourth-degree larceny and two counts of third-degree burglary.

In August, New Canaan Police received reports of five residential burglaries in the northeastern part of town, officials said. Using surveillance video, investigators identified a suspect vehicle, a dark-colored Ford Mustang, leaving one of the homes that had been burglarized, according to a police report.

Following an investigation that included information on the suspects provided by Wilton Police, authors obtained a search warrant for Perez and Sillo’s Shelton home, the report said. The warrant was connected to stolen items, and police first brought charges last month.

While investigating, police determined that they had committed two additional burglaries in New Canaan, the report said.

They turned themselves in on Oc. 26. Each was released on $50,000 bond and scheduled to appear Nov. 5 in state Superior Court.
