Police arrested a 37-year-old Norwalk woman after midnight Saturday and charged her with driving under the influence.
At about 1:05 a.m. on March 12, an officer stopped a car that had been traveling 50 mph in a 30 mph zone on Old Stamford Road, according to a police report.
During the stop, the officer detected the odor of alcohol on the motorist’s breath, the report said. She failed field sobriety tests and then tested at more than twice the legal limit in a breath test, it said.
Police additionally cited her for speeding. She was released on $240 bond and scheduled to appear March 24 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
