Police on Sunday night arrested a 40-year-old Norwalk man and charged him with driving under the influence.
At about 9:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Lakeview Avenue and Route 123 on a report of a disabled motor vehicle, police said.
There, officers found a vehicle and open can of beer inside, with a driver whose breath smelled of alcohol, according to a police report.
The man failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody, the report said. He refused to submit to a blood-alcohol content test, it said.
Police additionally charged him with drinking while driving.
He was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear Sept. 6 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
