A car jumped the curb in front of Chef Luis restaurant in downtown New Canaan and crashed into a tree early Thursday afternoon.
No one was seriously injured in what appeared to be an accident on Elm Street, officials said.
Though one individual may have suffered a minor injury, the accident appeared to involve a single vehicle with one occupant, crashing into a tree planted near the curb and no one required transportation by EMTs, officials said.
Emergency responders received notification of a motor vehicle accident with possible injuries just before 2 p.m. Fire and police both arrived on scene within minutes. Chef Luis is located at 129 Elm St.
Onlookers milled about the crashed vehicle, a black sedan, on the sidewalk and in the street, while police directed traffic by the accident scene.
It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the crash.
