The town on Tuesday issued a permit to build a 5,200-square-foot home on a 1.07-acre Weed Street lot where a ranch less than one-third that size had stood until last month.
The new home at 129 Weed St. will include five bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms as well as a 3-car garage, according to the building permit.
The property had been purchased for $640,000 in 2009, tax records show.
The new home will cost about $924,000 to build, the permit said. The contractor on the job is Stamford’s KV Construction LLC, it said.
