The town on Sept. 20 issued a permit to build a new home on a .22-acre lot on Summer Street.
The new 3,100-square-foot house at 160 Summer St. will include four bedrooms and three full bathrooms and two half-baths, as well as a finished attic and basement, according to the building permit.
It will cost about $592,000 to build, the permit said.
In May, over some neighbors’ objections, the Planning & Zoning Commission had granted a Special Permit for a 2-story addition on the ca. 1870 house on the lot.
The property sold in July for $695,000, tax records show.
The town on Sept. 26 issued a demolition permit for the existing house.
The contractor on the new construction job is Westport-based Barrington Homes LLC.
