The building department on Thursday received an application to build a 15-room home at 33 Sleepy Hollow Road, site now of a 1953 ranch. (The 2.06-acre property sold last month for $910,000.)
The planned home includes about 6,300 square feet on the first two floors and 1,400 in a partially finished basement. The home—to be built for an estimated $950,000 by Barrington Homes 33, LLC, the Westport-based owner—will include six full and two half-baths and three-car attached garage, according to the building permit application.
The first floor will have a living room , dining room, library, mudroom, family room, kitchen with a nook and an office. The second floor will have five bedrooms, a lounge and sitting room, the building permit application said.

A new 10-room home is planned for 29 Strawberry Hill Road, site now of a 100-year-old multi-family house.
According to an application filed Sept. 17 with the town, owner Imperial Real Estate Holdings LLC (which purchased the .83-acre in February 2013 for $486,000), the home will cost about $500,00 to build. The contractor is Moshira Soliman, the application said. The application didn’t say how many square feet the new home would have.

The New Canaan Building Department issued a permit to build a 4,032-square-foot home at 47 Park Place.
Site of a house demolished earlier this year, the .3-acre lot was sold last September for $742,000, tax records show.
The new house will include four bedrooms, four bathrooms, one half-bath, two fireplaces, a finished basement, unfinished attic, open patio, covered porch and garage, according to a permit issued Thursday.
The contractor is Canaan Construction and the home will cost about $875,000 to build, the permit said.
