The town this month received an application to build a 4,500-square-foot home at 142 Overlook Drive, where a 1954 split-level house had stood.
The new single-family dwelling on the one-acre parcel will include five bedrooms and bathrooms, according to an application filed with the New Canaan Building Department. It will cost about $1.5 million to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job will be New Canaan-based Amgine LLC, it said, the architect Ridgefield-based David Moore Architecture and Design LLC.
The property was purchased in April for $960,000, tax records show. The town in August issued a permit to demolish the 2,400-square-foot house that had stood there.
