An application has been filed with the town to build a 6,800-square-foot home on a vacant 2.42-acre Carter Street lot.
Designed by Bethel-based David Dunn Architect and built for an estimated $900,000 through contractor LTW Builders of New Canaan, the new home at 680 Carter St. would include six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and two half-baths, according to the application, filed Wednesday.
A 1937 home that had stood on the property came down in 2008, and the land sold in December 2012 to Carter Development LLC.
According to records on file with the Connecticut Secretary of the State, that company’s principals are Thomas Bendheim of Barrington, R.I. and Thomas D’Acunto of Wilton.
The home is to include living, dining and family rooms, a study, kitchen, mudroom, 3-car garage and finished attic (800 square feet) with playroom and studio, the application says.
