Police on Sunday afternoon arrested a 43-year-old New Canaan woman and charged her with disorderly conduct.
At about 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 17, officers were dispatched to a Vitti Street home on a report of a domestic dispute between two occupants, police said.
Following an investigation, police brought the misdemeanor charge against the woman.
It isn’t clear what the dispute involved, how it turned physical, whether or to what extent anyone was hurt or whether or how the arrested woman is related to the victim.
Police withheld further information, saying it was a domestic matter.
Under state law, a person is guilty of disorderly conduct when, with intent to cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, engages in fighting or in violent, tumultuous or threatening behavior; or by offensive or disorderly conduct, annoys or interferes with another person, among other reasons.
The woman was released after promising to appear Dec. 18 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
