Police arrested Heather Drive teen after an argument with her parents turned physical and resulted in her father’s broken finger and minor injuries to her mother.
Police received a call at 12:55 a.m. last Wednesday ona report of the dispute, according to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc, the department’s public information officer.
There, police learned that the daughter had been trying to get a phone away from her parents just outside the home, and that a struggle took place, Ogrinc said. While it was happening, the father, 60, seriously injured a finger and the mother, 57, had her body slammed into an exterior door, breaking a windowpane and injuring her knee, police said.
The daughter was charged with two counts of third-degree assault, and disorderly conduct, police said.
Police interviewing the 18-year-old believed her to be under the influence, so they transported her to Norwalk Hospital for evaluation, Ogrinc said.
She was released after promising to appear March 4 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
