Police are investigating the reported theft of $138 in clothes from an Elm Street retail shop.
Around 11 a.m. on May 5 (last Wednesday), the shop’s owner told police, two teenage girls had come into the store and took several items of clothing into a dressing room.
One of them came out, and after offering to put the clothes back where she’d found them, the pair left the store.
Thirty minutes later, the owner did a quick inventory and found that two items were missing: black-and-white Capri pants ($74) and gray-and-orange shorts ($64).
The girl who took the clothes is described as about five feet tall with black hair.

Counterfeit $100 bills were passed at Walgreens on Pine Street last week.
At about 7:56 p.m. on May 9, a manager at the Pine Street pharmacy told police that two clean-cut young men entered the store separately and paid in cash for $500 gift cards.
The paper on the $100 bills felt unusual and, examining them, officials discovered that two of them had the same exact serial number.
Police are investigating.
