A store employee told NewCanaanite.com that all three of the company’s locations—they’re also in Southport and Rye, N.Y.—are to be closed.

Walin & Wolff also is shutting down its ecommerce channel, according to a message posted to its website.

“Thank you for your support & patronage,” the message says.

It isn’t clear why or just when the shop is closing. The company’s owners, Kim Walin and Christina Johnson-Wolff, could not immediately be reached for comment.

“Obviously we are really disappointed about Walin & Wolff closing,” said Laura Budd of the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce. “Ever since they opened in early 2012, they have been terrific partners. They have participated in many of our events and they really filled a gap in town. So we’re sorry to see them go and we know that their whole business is closing.”

The 36 Elm St. location was bustling with customers on Wednesday morning. Signs in the window advertised a “Store Closing Sale” with an extra 25 percent off “already low sale prices.”

Some of Walin & Wolff’s popular designer brands include Chloe, Jimmy Choo, Lanvin, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Furla, Stuart Weitzman, Tory Burch, L.K. Bennett, Rebecca Minkoff, Jack Rogers and Alexis Bittar.
