Police on Monday evening arrested a 37-year-old Norwalk woman by warrant in connection with a single-car crash last month.
At about 9:08 p.m. on Nov. 21 (a Tuesday), officers were dispatched to the area of 120 Parade Hill Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash, police said.
An investigation revealed that the woman had skidded in the roadway for about 85 feet, struck a storm drain, traveled up an embankment, hit a tree and rolled over, finally coming to rest again in the street, according to a police report.
Inside the vehicle, police found an empty beer bottle and open and partially full bottle of wine, the report said.
Police obtained a warrant for driving under the influence and reckless driving. The woman at about 5:56 p.m. on Dec. 11 turned herself in on those charges.
She was released on $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear Dec. 22 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
