A 48-year-old Trumbull man was arrested after midnight Wednesday and charged with driving under the influence.
At about 12:15 a.m. on Feb. 7, an officer on patrol saw his car dross the double-yellow line while traveling eastbound on East Avenue, according to a police report.
During a subsequent stop, the officer smelled alcohol on the driver’s breath, the report said.
The motorist failed field sobriety tests and refused to submit to a blood-alcohol content test, it said.
He was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 21 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
