Police on Jan. 25 arrested a 22-year-old Trumbull man and charged him with possession with intent to sell and use of drug paraphernalia.
He was a passenger in a car stopped at about 12:45 a.m. after an officer clocked it traveling 50 mph southbound on Smith Ridge Road in a 40 mph zone, according to a police report.
During a stop, the officer found marijuana as well as denominations of cash, drug paraphernalia, digital scale and Zip-loc baggies, the report said.
The multiple quantities of marijuana weighed more than .5 ounces, it said.
The arrested man claimed ownership of the items, the report said.
He was released on $500 bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 6 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
The driver was cited for possession of less than .5 ounces of marijuana and speeding.
