New Canaan police arrested two men by warrant in separate cases of failure to appear in court.

At about 12:50 p.m. on March 30, police traveled to state Superior Court in Stamford to take custody of a 30-year-old Forest Street man for whom the department held an active warrant for second-degree failure to appear. It isn’t clear when the man originally was charged, or for what, that he missed an initial appearance in court.

He was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear April 13 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.

At 7:08 p.m. on March 29, a 20-year-old Norwalk man turned himself in on an active warrant stemming from a past motor vehicle incident.

The man had been cited last August with operating a motor vehicle while his license was under suspension.

He was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear April 8 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
