Police arrested a 32-year-old New Canaan man late Saturday following a domestic incident at a West Cross Road home.
At about 10:18 p.m. on April 2, officers were dispatched to the dwelling on a report of a dispute between two occupants, according to a police report.
Following an investigation, police arrested the man on disorderly conduct and third-degree assault charges, the report said.
It isn’t clear what precipitated the incident, what was the relationship between the two people involved or what physical contact, if any, prompted the assault charge—police are classifying the incident as a domestic dispute.
The man was released on $500 bond and scheduled to appear Monday in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
