Town officials on Wednesday received an application to build a new 5,175-square-foot home on a vacant 1.05-acre parcel off of Route 123.

The 5-bedroom home at 90 Garibaldi Lane would include five full bathrooms, a partially finished attic and basement and back and side porches, according to an application filed by the owner, a Ridgefield man’s limited liability company.

The property has never been developed, tax records show.

The new home would cost about $850,000, according to the application. It would be built by New Canaan’s Heritage Home Construction, and is designed by Muse Associate Architects, the application said.

The first and second floors would include 4,087 square feet of living space, with a partially finished basement of 688 square feet, and 400 more in the attic.

On Monday, the New Canaan Building Department received an application on Monday for $185,000 of work at a 1930-built Crystal Street home.

The Colonial at 43 Crystal sits on .16 acres and includes 1,393 square feet of living space, tax records show.

Its new owner bought the home in November for $675,000.

According to the application, the home after work is done would have 1,813 square feet of living space (including three bedrooms, one full bathroom, office, living room, mudroom, open deck in rear and laundry room).

The owner will act as contractor, the application said, with specs by New Canaan’s Robert Dean Architects.
