Here’s a summary of the past week’s activity from the New Canaan Fire Department. This round-up does not include every individual call to which the fire department responded.

July 15

11:16 a.m.—Motor vehicle accident with a fluid spill at South Avenue and Bank Street. Arrived on-scene at 11:19 a.m.

July 16

  • 1:51 p.m. —Report of a dryer fire at 6 Glen Drive that had gone out. Dispatched at 1:52 p.m. and arrived at 1:56 p.m.
  • 3:45 p.m—2-car motor vehicle accident at Puddin Hill and Smith Ridge Roads. Dispatched at 3:47 p.m. and arrived at 3:52 p.m. Per the police, this 1-car rollover extrication required the removal of one individual, trapped in the vehicle (5:03 p.m.).

July 17

  • 1:04 p.m. Commercial fire alarm at 396 Main St., the New Canaan Wastewater Plant
  • 1:29 p.m.—Residential fire alarm at 31 Oak St.—reports of activity in the basement and first and second floors.
  • 2:07 p.m.—Residential fire alarm at 589 Oenoke Ridge Road—including reports of smoke in a bedroom and hallway.

July 19

  • 1:07 p.m. Commercial fire alarm at 1037 Silvermine Road.
  • 4:14 p.m. Residential fire alarm at 111 Ferris Hill Road.

July 20

  • 12:55 p.m. residential fire alarm at 165 Rosebrook Road
  • 4:02 p.m. Report of a motor vehicle accident at Weed Street and Wahackme Road.
