A demolition sign has appeared on a Richmond Hill Road home that dates to 1850, according to its assessor’s card.

The 2-bedroom Colonial at number 126 includes 1,440 square feet of living space split evenly between its two stories.

It isn’t clear what’s planned for the .36-acre lot. No building permit application yet has been filed with the town.

The property was purchased in October 2012 for $816,000, tax records show.

The town on Dec. 1 issued a permit for the demolition of a shed at 104 Dan’s Highway—long known as the famed Huguette Clark estate.

Sold in April for $14.3 million, the 14,266-square-foot French-style manor house on the 52-acre property is slated to get a $1.8 million interior renovation, according to building plans filed in July.

Its new owners later that month applied to dissolve an approved 10-lot subdivision on the property, an application that was unanimously approved.

Said to be fashion designer Reed Krakoff and his wife Delphine, a Paris-born interior designer, the property’s owner officially is De Lom LLC,tax records show—a Manhattan-based company created in February.

Officials said this summer that the new owners, who have children, intend to make New Canaan their permanent home.

The shed demo will be carried out by Bedford Hills, N.Y.-based Nick Cambareri Masonry Inc., according to the building permit.

A new 2,479-square-foot home is planned for the .39-acre lot at 43 Hawthorne Road, formerly site of a 1949 Cape that came down last month.

The new home will cost about $750,000 to build, according to a permit application filed Thursday.

Designed by New Canaan-based Pogacnik Architects LLC, the home is to get a first-floor kitchen-family room, living room, study and dining room, and on the second floor, four bedrooms and bathrooms, library and laundry, with another bedroom and bath in the attic.

The lot was purchased in October for $975,000, tax records show.

An application came into the town Nov. 24 to build a new, 10,060-square-foot home at 24 Country Club Road—a 2-acre lot that includes a 2,393-square-foot home and sold in September for $1 million, tax records show.

The new home is designed by Greenwich-based Christopher Hull and is to be built for about $1.3 million by Ken Weldon, according to the application.

It will include 17 rooms that encompass seven full and three half-baths, six bedrooms, a multipurpose room, media room, library, living room, family room, kitchen, dining, playroom, office and breakfast area. It will also include an attached pool house with 483 square feet of living space, the application says.
