Two adults and one teen were cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Nov. 10 following a call that three vehicles were parked at Olive and George Lee Memorial Garden on Chichester Road after hours, according to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc.

When officers arrived at the scene just before 8 p.m., no one was found inside of the vehicles, but three individuals were seen exiting the park’s trails nearby, according to Ogrinc. When the officers spoke to the men, they reported that they smelled marijuana and upon following them back towards the trail, they found marijuana and paraphernalia belonging to each individual.

The juvenile, a 17-year-old from Darien, was issued a summons and referred to juvenile court for possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple trespass. He is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court at Stamford on Tuesday.

An 18-year-old male from Buttonwood Lane in Darien was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended license, possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple trespass.

The third individual, an 18-year-old male from Rockingstone Avenue in Larchmont, N.Y., was also cited for possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple trespass.
