Police on Friday arrested a 44-year-old South Avenue woman who violated a protective order by contacting the wife of her ex-husband.
A protective order has been in place since September, when she sent a harassing note to her ex’s new wife, 31, according to police.
At 9:03 a.m. on Christmas morning, police say, the ex-wife sent another email—and though it was not threatening in nature, it did violate the protective order, police said.
Police obtained an arrest warrant and at 1 p.m. Friday, the ex-wife turned herself in on charges of second-degree harassment and violating conditions of release. She was scheduled to appear Feb. 12 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
