A 29-year-old Norwalk man faces a slew of drug charges after selling crack cocaine to an undercover New Canaan Police officer, officials said.
According to a press release issued by New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski, Norwalk and Stamford police collaborated to obtain and execute on search warrants at 5:30 a.m. Friday for the Scribner Avenue man.
New Canaan police had discovered that he was selling crack “throughout the area,” the chief said.
Between warrants obtained by New Canaan and Norwalk police, the arrested man was charged with three counts each of sale of crack cocaine and possession of cocaine, as well as possession of crack cocaine within 1,500 feet of a school, illegal possession or sale of a controlled substance and illegal possession or sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school.
While searching the Norwalk man’s home, police found seven grams of crack cocaine (individually packaged for sale), as well as cash and prescription medication bagged for sale (instead of in its proper, prescribed container).
He was held on $150,000 and scheduled to appear May 16 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
