Car Catches Fire in Three-Vehicle Accident On Frogtown Road

Police and fire officials responded to what appears to have been a 3-car accident on Frogtown Road just after 10 a.m. Friday.

According to dispatcher reports, the call came in at about 10:06 a.m. and no one was injured in the accident. One car—a silver sedan—was on fire when emergency responders arrived. No one was seriously injured, officials said.

Fire officials confirmed that the accident occurred on Frogtown between Parish Road and Weed Street.

Fire Chief Jack Hennessey said Frogtown Road is expected to reopen soon.

It isn’t clear just what caused the accident or whether charges will be brought against any motorists involved. NewCanaanite.com will have more information as it becomes available.
