Police arrested a 17-year-old Easton man on minor drug charges last Friday night after finding marijuana and smoking gear in his car.
At about 8:17 pm. on May 8, an officer noticed a car parked near the bottom of Beacon Hill Lane, according to a police report. Approaching, the officer immediately detected the smell of marijuana and discovered a glass jar with several baggies of marijuana in the center console, as well as a metal pipe (still warm), grinder with residue, second pipe and rolling papers in the car, the report said.
A 16-year-old New Canaan girl was in the passenger seat, the report said.
Police also found a second Connecticut driver’s license in the car that had the 17-year-old’s name but a birth date that would make him 21, the report said.
He was charged with possession of marijuana, poession of drug paraphernalia and third-degree forgery. His case was referred to the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Bridgeport, where he’s scheduled to appear May 18.
