Police arrested a 29-year-old Norwalk man on drug charges last Thursday afternoon after finding marijuana and smoking gear in his car during a motor vehicle stop.
At about 4 p.m. on Aug. 27, an officer spotted a car traveling south on Park Street with a broken windshield, according to a police report.
Stopping the car on Church Street near Green Avenue, the officer smelled marijuana in the car and during a search of the car found a baggie with .81 ounces of pot, a digital scale and cigars (that often are used for their rolling paper), the report said.
Police arrested the man for possession of more than .5 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear Sept. 10 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
