Police are investigating a 93-year-old Riverbank Court woman’s report that someone stole a box of Noritake-brand China pieces from her home.
The burglars forced their way into the home through a window and ransacked it, according to a police report.
The woman contacted police about the burglary on Jan. 19, police said.

An 84-year-old South Avenue woman told police last week that a pocket book went missing from her bedroom on the same day that a man had been left alone in the room to work on her TV.
The TV had been delivered to her house on Jan. 12, and its delivery went smoothly, but later in the day another worker went upstairs to do something with it and he was unsupervised, according to the woman’s complaint.
She discovered that her wallet had been taken from her pocketbook together with $240 in cash and several credit cards. She didn’t notice that the items were missing until the following night, police said.

Police are investigating what appears to be a tire slashing in the Locust Avenue parking lot.
A man said he parked there shortly after noon on Jan. 15 and that when he returned at 11 p.m., the rear passenger-side tire was flat, according to a police report.
He later found that a razor blade had broken off in the tread of the $200 tire, and reported it to police the next day.

Police are investigating a reported fraud from Marvin Ridge Road couple who said five items had been charged to their Apple Store account in the amount of $2,891.
The charges had been made on Jan. 15 with a shipment due to arrive Jan. 19, to a name the couple didn’t recognize and at their home address.
Flagging a confirmation email, the couple notified police about it on Jan. 16.

Three contractors reported several items missing overnight from a house on North Wilton Road that’s under construction.
A makeshift front door had been forced open and missing items include: four Makita cordless drills ($150 apiece), Bosch Saber saw ($160), a Milwaukee-brand sawz-all ($200), pair of taping stills ($150 apiece), Hitachi table saw ($300) and Paslode-brand framing nail gun ($400).
