Police on Monday afternoon arrested a 26-year-old Queens, N.Y. woman by warrant in connection with a traffic incident from September where she tried to bite police officers.

On Sept. 24, officers were dispatched Park Street near Pine Street on a report of a woman inside a vehicle who appeared to be in distress, officials said.

There, the officers found the woman inside the vehicle with two young children, according to a police report.

The woman was incoherent and uncooperative when police tried to find out why she was upset, and she tried to bite the officers close to her, the report said.

She later was transported to Norwalk Hospital for evaluation, it said.

Police obtained a warrant and charged her with two counts of risk of injury to a child, a felony offense, as well as interfering with an officer, second-degree breach of peace and operating without minimum insurance, and cited her for possession of less than .5 ounces of marijuana and improper use of marker lights.
She turned herself in to police at about 4:34 p.m. on Dec. 2.

Police released the woman after she promised to appear Dec. 12 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
