Police on Friday afternoon arrested a 65-year-old South Salem, N.Y. man who apparently took off all his clothes on Lapham Road.
At about 4:29 p.m. on May 19—it was a balmy 76 degrees just then, with passing clouds, officials say—officers were dispatched to the area on a report of a naked “elderly man” near a parked car, according to police.
There, officers found the 65-year-old inside his car with a shirt and shorts draped over him “and not wearing any underpants,” according to a police report.
Police then determined that the man had been fully naked outside his vehicle and observed by two people who contacted the department, the report said.
The man said he had medical reasons for being fully naked, it said.
Just what those reasons were is unclear.
He was charged with second-degree breach of peace, a misdemeanor.
Police released the man after he promised to appear June 2 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
No mugshot was available, police said.
Thankful for the lack of a “mugshot!”
🙂
