Police on Tuesday evening arrested a 30-year-old Miami woman for drunk driving following a car accident in New Canaan.
At about 5:20 p.m. on July 26, officers were dispatched to the area of Indian Rock and Country Club Roads after receiving word that a vehicle was in a ditch, according to a police report.
It isn’t clear whether any other vehicles were involved, whether the motorist was injured or to what extent, or how badly the car was damaged.
Addressing the driver, officers detected the odor of alcohol, the report said.
She failed field sobriety tests and declined to undergo a further test to establish her blood-alcohol level, police said.
Police released her on $250 bond and was scheduled to appear Aug. 8 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
