Police late Monday arrested a 26-year-old Port Chester, N.Y. man accused of urinating inside the Mobil station downtown.

At about 11:35 p.m. on July 22, officers were dispatched to the gas station on South Avenue on a report of a man who had urinated inside its convenience store, officials said.

He’d also been accused of urinating on a vehicle parked in the Mobil lot, according to a police report.

Police found the man on Park and Elm Streets, and he appeared to be drunk, losing his balance and slurring his words, the report said.

He was charged with second-degree breach of peace.

Police released the man after he promised to appear Aug. 1 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
