Police last week arrested a 63-year-old Wilton woman in connection with a motor vehicle collision in downtown New Canaan.
At about 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 8, police received a report that a motorist had sideswiped another vehicle at Main Street and Heritage Hill Road, but continued driving instead of stopping, officials said.
Through an investigation, the driver was identified, according to a police report.
She didn’t stop or report the incident in due time, it said.
Police charged her the next day with evading responsibility, a misdemeanor offense.
She was released after promising to appear Nov. 21 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
