New Canaan has issued a building permit for a 2,108-square-foot home at 58 Lambert Road, a 2.13-acre lot that sold in October for $1,325,000, tax records show.
The new home will include three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a half-bath, fireplace, unfinished attic, finished basement (music room, entertainment room, exercise room, laundry), 2-car garage and open and covered patios, according to the permit, issued July 25.
Tax records say the property is owned by LLC whose principal is a New Canaan man.
It will cost $800,000 to build the new home (contractor is Backcountry RAM LLC of Greenwich), the permit says.

A 1920 Colonial at 63 Summer St. (right on the corner of Cross Street and actually facing Cross) will come down, following a demolition permit issued Wednesday, and a new home with more than twice the living space is planned.
The home on the .13-acre lot now has 1,396 square feet of living space—according to a building permit issued two weeks ago, the new home will have 2,860 square feet.
It will have four bedrooms and bathrooms, a den, unfinished basement and attic and 2-car garage, the permit says.
Construction is estimated to cost $420,000, according to the permit.
The property had been purchased in July 2005 for $608,000, tax records show.
