The Kiwanis Club of New Canaan recently awarded scholarships to students Eugene Constandaki, who will be attending the University of New Hampshire; Samuel Kramer, who’s heading off to George Washington University; Graham Miles, Florida Gulf Coast University; Lauren Perone, Susquehanna University; and Madison Yancy, Wellesley College.
“Kiwanis is pleased to award a certain number of merit scholarships to outstanding students each year,” said Jerry Miller, Treasurer, Kiwanis Club of New Canaan. “Each of these students has exemplified the characteristics which Kiwanis stands for, especially their generosity in giving back to the community.”
During the presentation luncheon, members, guests, and scholarship recipients were given the opportunity to hear guest speaker, New Canaan First Selectman Rob Mallozzi, present updates on the Town Hall renovation, Main Street sidewalk status, and various program and financial consolidation efforts in town.
