Police on Thursday morning arrested a 52-year-old New Canaan man accused of creating a disturbance at a restaurant downtown.
At about 10:33 a.m. on Feb. 20, police were dispatched to Baldanza Café at 129 Elm St. on a report that the Heritage Hill Road man had been inside earlier and had been asked to leave after causing a problem, officials said.
The man had been told before by Baldanza employees not to return because he created public disturbances there in the past, according to a police report.
Officers found him in the area of Main and Cherry Streets and, following an investigation, charged him with first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree breach of peace.
He was released on $200 bond and scheduled to appear March 2 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
