Police on Thursday afternoon arrested an 18-year-old Hillcrest Road man following a domestic incident.
At about 2:21 p.m. on Dec. 8, officers were dispatched to a residence on Hillcrest on a report of a dispute, police said.
There, following an investigation, they charged the teen with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault, according to a police report.
It isn’t clear what the dispute involved, what prompted the misdemeanor assault charge or whether or how the teen is related to the victim.
Police withheld further information, classifying the incident as a domestic matter.
Under state law, a person is guilty of third-degree assault if:
(1) With intent to cause physical injury to another person, he causes such injury to such person or to a third person; or (2) he recklessly causes serious physical injury to another person; or (3) with criminal negligence, he causes physical injury to another person by means of a deadly weapon, a dangerous instrument or an electronic defense weapon.
Police released the teen on $10,000 bond and scheduled him to appear Dec. 9 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
