New Canaan Library is pleased to welcome Michelle Hips from New Canaan Nature Center, presenting a special evening that allows the audience a peek inside the fascinating nocturnal world of owls, as well as a chance to see a few live owls up close. The event takes place on Thursday, January 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Adrian Lamb Room. Please register online at newcanaanlibrary.org.

The Library’s current art exhibition, Whoo? is a natural companion to this event, and the Library encourages all to stop in at the Curtis Gallery to view this unique exhibition by Karen Kent.

Michelle Hips is a graduate of Fairfield University, where she earned a BA in International Studies with minors in Environmental Studies and Latin American & Caribbean Studies. Prior to coming to NCNC in 2012, Michelle began her career in environmental education working at residential centers in Minnesota and the Catskills of NY. Most recently, in 2016, she completed a MS in Elementary Education at the University of Bridgeport.
